Introduction

Around the world, because of warfare and natural disasters, there are millions of people at risk of contracting terminal preventable diseases, whose lives could be saved with the provision of hygiene and medical packs. Millions of people at risk of succumbing to exposure, whose lives could be saved with the provision of emergency shelter, bedding and clothing. Millions of people at risk of starving to death or dying from thirst or disease contracted by drinking dirty water, whose lives could be saved with the provision of clean water and rations.

With climate change starting to bite even harder, giving rise to small resource wars, to an increase in tectonic activity causing a greater number and severity of earthquake and volcanic activity, and to an increase in ferocity, size and frequency of natural disasters around the world, no one is safe. Until we achieve peace and turn the clock back on climate change, the Disasters Emergency Committee needs as much money as it can possibly muster to keep saving lives. My target is to raise £9,000,000 to save 112,500 lives, each and every month, and to do that I need your help.  £80 will provide all the emergency shelter, bedding and clothing, food, clean water, hygiene and medical packs needed to save a life at times of disaster. I hope to inspire and encorage you, through my efforts through diet, exercise, golf and music, to keep my brain tumour at bay and to become useful again, to organise a fun and simple life-saving event (ideally monthly), through your club or business, designed to raise the necessary funds to save a life. My eternal hope and prayer is that every life saved will be like a drop of light that sends a ripple of peace, joy, love of thy neighbour and a desire to turn the clock back on climate change across the world. That if I can achieve my target and be saving 112,500 lives a month at least, that the ripple of light becomes like an unstoppable Tsunami of light forcing peace, joy, love of thy neighbour and a desire to turn the clock back on climate change into the hardest to reach parts of the world. I give you my own personal guarantee that every single penny raised, through my challenge, will go to save lives through the Disasters Emergency Committee.
