Day 11 has left it’s mark on me or more correctly is not letting me forget it. I have a numb bum!!!
15 miles cycled today to Bridge of Allan and back in beautiful sunshine, through the beautiful countryside of the Keir Cawdor Estate, through large puddles, down some great hills then back up them again peddle rotation by leg burning peddle rotation. I wasn’t sure I would have enough leg strength to get back up the hill without having to walk the bike up but I did it – Yippeeeee!!!!
I also managed to bump in to a friend from the cricket club at the cafe I stopped for a celebratory coffee at in Bridge of Allan. We had a long chat and he is looking to see how he can best help raise the profile of the challenge – even better he bought me coffee and a danish – thanks Chris!! I dropped by another friend who isn’t well at the moment but appeared to be delighted to see me. So sorry I couldn’t pop in for tea but great to see you again Vicky xx.
Such a good day that I might do the route again, do a walk as well in Bridge of Allan to increase the mileage, try and pop in to see another friend, then cycle back up the steep hill and try and take some video footage of the views for you. Let’s hope for some more sunshine, more friendship and more puddles!!!
