Day 19 has been a great day in which I decided to take advantage of the beautiful sunshine and explore a new cycle route in to Stirling that I thought I had spotted from the bus.

So off I went to have a delightful ride along the A84 in to and back from Stirling meandering on and off the route in order to explore anything that caught my eye. The A84 had a lovely surface and was not too hilly so easy to cycle along with some cracking views of Stirling Castle on such a clear and sunny day. On the way I met a lovely lady who was out surveying a new possible site for a Riding for the Disabled centre. I very much hope the planning, in its very early stages, grows fruit as it was so sad to loose the RDA site at Bannockburn.

I gained handsomely from the positive benefits of chatting to such a cheerful person. She gained a volunteer to shovel horse poo and.…………… a Flyer!!! Lovely to have meet you today and thank you for being interested in the challenge.

I continued on my way into Riverside Stirling and as my bike had started creaking and clanking like a roller coaster being pulled up a steep incline I popped back in to recyke-a-bike. Yet again I was looked after beautifully and the bike is fixed and running smoothly. Thank you very much indeed to the team at recyke a bike. I then went to explore Stirling’s old harbour and the riverside path and found more cycle paths and a network of underpasses around the city.

Brilliant and then to top it off saw the lovely vista in the photo and on stopping to take the photo met Donald who was not only doing a grand job collecting some litter that had blown towards the river but also had a great story to tell. Had a great chat with him and handed him a flyer. Great to meet you today Donald and thank you for sharing with me your story. Trevor sends his very best and thank you for taking the flyer and offering to help spread the word. Awesome!!

The route back was simple, uneventful and a real pleasure on such a day. By the end of the day that was 19 miles cycled so ……
