In spite of a rude awakening by a fire alarm at 2.30am, fuelled by a hearty full Scottish breakfast, Archie has made a great start to the penultimate stage of his canal walk challenge. Enjoying the morning colours, and encouraged by only 21.5 miles to reach Edinburgh, he is still walking and still smiling. Donations are up to £577 of his £1000 target – thank you very much for all you have given so far. Please continue to spread the word and help Archie raise £1000 for the DEC.
I’m on my way to Ratho to join him for the last 8 miles. The walk finishes at Lochrin Basin in Edinburgh at 1700hrs approx. this afternoon. Please come and welcome Archie at the end of the walk if you can, he would love to see you.
